TIM BUENDÍA
Creative director.
Filmmaker. Poet.
The person behind Macondo.Live, with a connection to Aracataca that runs through film, writing and cultural work.

THE GYPSY RESIDENCE · ARACATACA
A connection built in the community.

Founded by Tim in 2010, The Gypsy Residence became a base for welcoming travelers and exploring the town through its landmarks and oral histories.
ARACATACA & BEYOND
How it began.
A journey to Aracataca became years of living, working and creating in the town.
Tim operated The Gypsy Residence, presented a radio program on Macondo Stereo, wrote poetry in Spanish, and helped bring a symbolic tombstone for Melquíades into the landscape of Aracataca.
That connection continues through the feature documentary Aracataca: Where Reality Became Macondo, the bilingual book Poesía de Macondo, and cultural programs that introduce audiences to the town and its people.
Based in Los Angeles, Tim works as a creative director and develops screenings, literary conversations and artistic encounters with cultural hosts.
